Whlist investigating a space warp Captain Kirk falls in love when the Enterprise encounters an apparent paradise which is in fact not what it seems—as well as something shapeless which tries to ingest everything and drains the dilithium crystals, picks off the security guards, and hijacks the Enterprise but their opponent turns out to be all alone and so Kirk delivers a speech, which means everything turns out okay, and everybody forgets it ever happened. Then, finally Spock says something worthy and they leave at warp factor two.
