Whlist running some tests Commander Riker encounters an apparent duplicate of Riker which is in fact a shapechanger—as well as the Borg which tries to destroy them and reprograms Data so they do the obvious (eventually) and work out a clever use of the ship's deflector dish and so their opponent leaves, which means everything turns out okay, give or take a few personal tragedies. Then, finally Riker says something irrelevant and they leave at warp factor four.
